The New Covenant came into being in the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus. He had fulfilled the Old Covenant with its laws, ceremonies, and priesthoods, and had laid it aside. That is when He said on the Cross, "It is finished." Now God raises Him from the dead, the Head of a New Covenant, He Himself is the High Priest, and we are the holy priesthood and the Royal Priesthood. -- E.W. Kenyon
