The Purpose of Salvation 1/19 Monday Meditation
LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: The Purpose of Salvation 1/19 Monday Meditation
Today's and tomorrow's quotes were suggested to me by Bob, the longest-time reader (20 years) of Lep's Faith Quotes.
So many in My Church have been taught that the PURPOSE OF SALVATION is to make sure that you go to Heaven when you die. SALVATION does guarantee that you will be with Me FOREVER, whether your mortal body is ALIVE or has DIED, but that making sure you are with Me when your body dies should NOT BE THE MAIN FOCUS OF SALVATION. The PURPOSE OF SALVATION was to RESTORE YOU TO LIFE—FULLNESS OF LIFE, ABUNDANT LIVING, and THE RESTORATION OF ALL THAT WAS LOST when sin entered the world. SALVATION is SO MUCH MORE than a TICKET to HEAVEN—it is the ASSURANCE of LIFE LIVED IN UNION WITH ME—whether on earth or in Heaven. --Diana Larkin (emphasis hers)
