God has never given me a taste or a relish for any book but the Bible...

Oh, how much better to get the Book of books which contains nothing but God.   If a book is commended because it has something about God in it, how much more shall the Word of God be the food of the soul, the strengthening of the believer, and the building up of the human order of character with God, so that all the time he is being changed by the Spirit of the Lord from one state of glory into another.

Goid's Pure Gold 1/27 Friday Faith

And if you are really reconstructed it will be in a hard time, it won't be in a singing meeting, but at a time when you think all things are dried up, when you think there is no hope for you, and you have passed everything, then that is the time that God makes the man, when tried by fire, that God purges you, takes the dross away, and brings forth the pure gold.  Only melted gold is minted.  Only moistened clay receives the mold.  Only softened wax receives the seal.  Only broken, contrite hearts receive the mark as the potter turns us on his wheel, shaped and burnt to take and keep the heavenly mold, the stamp of God's pure gold.

The Most Trying Time 1/26 Thursday Thoughts

The most trying time is the most helpful time.  Most preachers say something about Daniel, and about the Hebrew children, and especially about Moses when he was in a tried corner.  Beloved, if you read the Scriptures you will never find anything about the easy time.  All the glories come out of hard times.   (to be continued)

The Vision Grows Stale 1/25 Wednesday Wisdom

If we live on the same plane, day after day, the vision is stale, the principles lose their earnestness.  For we must be like those who are catching the vision of the Master day by day .  And we must make inroads into every passion that would interfer, and bring everything to the slaughter that is not holy.  For God would have us in these days to know that He wishes to seat us on High.  Don't forget it.

Remember, beloved, don't forget that every day must be a day of advancement.  If you have not made any advancement since yesterday, in a measure you are a backslider.  There is only one way for you between Calvary and the glory, and it is forward.  It is every day forward.  It is no day back.  It is advancement with God.  It is cooperation with Him in the Spirit.

Have the Holy Ghost 1/23 Monday Meditation

You cannot have the Holy Ghost without having manifestations.  You cannot have the Holy Ghost without having revelations.  You cannot have the Holy Ghost without being turned into another nature.  It was the only credential that Joshua and Caleb could enter the land because they were of another spirit. 
And we must live in an unction, in a power, in a transformation, and a divine attainment where we cease to be, where God becomes enthroned so richly.

If You Ever Stop 1/19 Thursday Thoughts

If you ever stop [living for the Lord] at any point, pick up at the place where you failed, and begin again under the refining light.  Power and zeal of heaven and all things will be brought to you, for He will condescend to meet you.

Remember, beloved, it is not what you are but what God wants you to be.  What shall we do?  Shall we not dedicate ourselves afresh to God?  Every new revelation brings a new dedication.

No Ordinary Men 1/18 Wednesday Wisdom

Beloved, I would like to press into your heart this morning the truth that God has no room for an ordinary man.  God wants to take the ordinary man and put him through the sieve and bring him out into a place of extraordinary faith.  The cry of our souls can be satisfied only with God.  The great plan of God is to satisfy you, and then give you the vision of something higher.

The Bible Is the Word of God 1/17 Tuesday Truth

The Bible is the Word of God:  supernatural in origin, eternal in duration, inexpressible in valor, infinite in scope, regenerative in power, infallible in authority, universal in interest, personal in application, inspired in totality.  Read it through, write it down, pray it in, work it out, and then pass it on.  Truly it is the Word of God.  It brings into man the personality of God; it changes the man until he becomes the epistle of God.  It transforms his mind, changes his character, takes him on from grace to grace, and gives him an inheritance in the Spirit.  God comes in, dwells in, walks in, talks through, and sups with him.

If I Limit the Lord 1/16 Monday Meditation

If I limit the Lord, He cannot work within me, but if I open myself to God then He will surely fill me and flow through me. 

We must have this "Like Precious Faith" in order to have our prayers answered.  If we ask anything according to God's will, we are told that He hears us, and if we know that He hears us, then we know we have the petitions that we desire. Oh, brothers, sisters, we must go into the presence of God and get from Him the answer to our prayers.  Hear what Mark 11:24 says,   ...What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

Overcomes the World 1/13 Friday Faith

How wonderful is that faith that overcomes the  world!  "He that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God overcomes the world!"  But how does he overcome the world?  If you believe in Him you are purified as He is pure.  You are strengthened because He is strong.  You are made whole because He is whole.  All of His fullness may come into you because of the revelation of Himself.

Every Trial 1/11 Wednesday Wisdom

Every trial is to prepare you for a greater position for God.  Your tried faith will make you know that you will have the faith of God to go through the next trial.  Who is going to live dormant, weak, trifling, slow, indolent, prayerless, Bible-less lives when you know you must go through these things?  And if you are to be made perfect in weakness, you must be tried as by fire in order to know that no man is able to win a victory, only by the power of God in him.

The Day Is At Hand 1/10 Tuesday Truth

The people perceived something remarkable in the power of God changing these fishermen on the day of Pentecost.  Brothers and sisters, it is the Holy Ghost. We must not say this is an influence; He is the Personality and power, and presence of the third Person of the Trinity.  Many of us have been longing for years for God to come forth and now He is coming forth.  The tide is rising everywhere.  God is pouring out His Spirit in the hearts of all flesh and they are crying before God.  The day is at hand.  God is fulfilling His promises.

Want Nothing Less Than a Flood 1/2 Tuesday Truth

May God save me from ever wanting anything less than a flood.  I will not stoop for small thing when I have such a big God...  We need the warming atmosphere of the Spirit's power to bring us closer and closer until nothing but God can satisfy...  It is only like a sparrow taking a drink of the ocean and then looking around and saying, "What a vast ocean!  What a lot more I could have taken if I had only had room."
