I WILL NOT BE POSTING ON MONDAY. HAVE A BLESSED NEW YEAR. You are just as necessary to God in His plan for the salvation of mankind as God is necesary to you. That is a tremendous statement. I want to repeat it. Christians are just as necessary to Almighty God in order to accomplish His purpose in the world as God is necesary to the Christian. Without God we could not be saved. Without God we could not live. Without God we would never reach a maturity in God. Jesus was the triumphant One. Did you ever stop to think of Jesus at the throne of God? I like to think of the twentieth century Christ -- not the Jesus that lived in the world two thousand years ago, not the humiliated Jesus, not Jesus dying on the cross for my sin, but the glorified, exalted Son of God at the throne of God who stands declaring, "I am he that liveth, and was dead; and behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death" (Revelation 1:18) And that is the Christ that breathes His power into your soul and mine, and that is the consciousness that is breathed from heaven in the Holy Ghost when it comes to your heart. In Touch With the Powers of God 12/22 Friday Faith

Sleep 12/19 Tuesday Truth

[I have prayed this same way with many people who have sleep problems. - Lep] Yesterday, Brother Fogwill quoted that wondersul scripture that, "He giveth his beloved sleep" (Psalm 127:2). And last night after retiring it was impossible for me to sleep. I said, "Dear Lord, I am Your beloved, and I want to sleep," and I slept like a child all night. If you have any trouble with sleeplessness, and you are the beloved of God, just make God come through with His promise. -- John G. Lake

So I have become an enthusiast for the Son of God. His salvation to me is the mightiest conception that ever dawned in the nature of man or God. My Lord is not dead! Ministers and churches throughout the land have seen that, although the church has taught that the days of miracles only belonged to the times of the apostles, that statement was a falsehood. They have seen that the healing power of God is as available to the honest ouul today as it was in the days of Christ on the earth. A new light dawned in our souls. The church had diligently taught us that the days of miracles had passed, and believing this, eight members of the family had been permitted to die. Men are afraid to say yes to God. When a young man, I sat in a little meeting one night when the Spirit was talking to my heart. Oh, mighty God, it almost makes my soul vomit in these days to think of the average conception a man has of Christianity. About 90% of so-called Christianity is all spelled with four letters, d-o-n'-t. Don't do this and don't do that... Why, bless God, religion is all contained in two letters, b-e. The Secret of Christianity 12/4 Monday Meditation

The secret of Christianity is in being. It is in being a possessor of the nature of Jesus Christ. In other words, it is being Christ in character, Christ in demonstration, Christ in agency of transmission. When a person gives himself to the Lord and becomes a child of God, a Christian, he is a Christ-man. This will be my last post until probably Tuesday, Nov. 28, Happy Thanksgiving! Jesus said, "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10). The reason we have the more abundant life is because that, receiving God into our being, all the springs of our being are quickened by His living presence. Consequently, if we are living today and we receive God, we live life in a fuller measure. We live life with a greater energy, because we become the recipients of the energy of the living God in additiion to our normal energy, through the reception of His being, His nature, His life into ours. -- John G. First, He blessed the world through His own physical personality. Second, He established a physical body, composed of many members, joined in one by the Spirit of God. When He established the second body, the Church, He never intended that it should be of lesser authority or of lesser power than the first. This is an appropriate post for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. It was that consciousness of God's presence and God's power in the disciples and the Church of the first four centuries that wrote across the pages of history the wonderful, wonderful record of Christianity of the first four hundred years. There were thirty million Christian martyrs, those who were slaughtered in the Christian wars, etc. Thirty million gave up their lives for the Christ. There was a spirit that made it so intense, so powerful, that had such a power of induction that the world got out. Bless God. "And the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin." (1 John 1:7) That is effective as long as were are in fellowship. The correct meaning of the word "sin" is "missing the mark." As long as I am in fellowship with Him, I may miss the mark again and again, but His blood avails for me.

Broken Fellowship 6/19 Monday Meditation

Fellowship can be broken because I willfully fail to do His will. I step out of light into darkness. I stop practicing love, and when I do that, I step over into darkness, want -- into Satan'sterritory. I am filled with restlessness. Joy is gone. My fellowship with the Father is gone. First, you are God's fellow workers. He has called you to labor with Him; so whatever your work is, as long as you are in His will, He is a partner with you. You can't be a failure, for His wisdom is your wisdom; His ability in every department of your life is your ability. Then the old bondage of fear and want and disease is gone. You have another spirit now, a recreated spirit. If you are a New Creation, Satan has nothing in you. That New Creation is all of God. The old thing that Satan owned and controlled is all passed away and the things that are in you now are all of God. When you know this as you know the multiplication table, you will have something that will absolutely put to flight the forces of Satan. There isn't any reason why we should live in constant fear of sin and doubt when we are the very sons and daughters of God. -- E.W. Kenyon

Forgiveness and Remission 2/22 Wednesday Wisdom

It is very important that we understand the difference between forgiveness and the remission of sins. A man receives remission of sins when he is born again. He may receive forgiveness of sins after he is Born Again as often as he sins. You remember I John 1:19, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." -- E.W. Kenyon.

As long as one holds his Redemption as a theory or as a doctrine it will bring him no sense of reality, but as soon as he looks up and says, "Father, I thank Thee for my perfect Redemption, that this body of mine is no longer under the dominance of Satan, that my mind and senses are no longer to be dominated by the Adversary; I am free, and by Thy grace I will not be entangled again in the yoke of bondage" -- then, it is real. -- E.W. Israel could conquer all the armies that came against them, for God was with them. How much more can God do through us when we are conscious of His indwelling Presence. I Am With You 2/17 Friday Faith

And then He whispers, "I will strengthen you, no matter what your work may be." If it is physical strength, He is your sufficiency. If it is mental strength, He meets you. And if it is spiritual strength that will give you courage to face impossibilities, He is there. You notice, "I am with you" ... Now notice this sentence. "I am with thee." He is in the home with you; He is in the shop with you; He is in the school with you. "Fear thou not for I am God Almighty, Creator of the Universe. I am your Father; I am watching over you. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God." I know of no other statement in Scripture that thrills me like that. "If a man love me he will keep my Word." That means that we are taking our place as sons. We will take the responsibility of sons. We will bear the burden of it, and we will enjoy the privileges of it. If we do that, then He will assume His place as a Father and will make His home with us, take care of us and enable us to meet our obligations, enable us to walk in love and in wisdom, and to walk in the fullness of his fellowship. His Place as a Father 2/14 Tuesday Truth

And not only are we sons, but we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. God is our actual Father. John 16:27, "For the Father Himself loveth you, because you have loved me." If we are His children and if He is our Father, then He is responsible for us. If we take our place as sons, He is bound to take His place as a Father. -- E.W. Kenyon.

We are in His kingdom. Colossians 1:13, "Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." We have found His Righteousness. II Corinthians 5:21, "Him Who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the Righteousness of God in Him." Then we are in the family. (Romans 8:14-16.) And in I John 3:1, we read, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God: Beloved, now are we children of God." -- E.W. Kenyon.

The Bread Provider 2/10 Friday Faith

So with the heart man believes that Jesus is his Rigeteousness, and then he makes a confession of his salvation, of the Lordship of Jesus over his life. "Lordship" really means "the bread provider," the one who sustains, protects, and cares for us. So in the very beginning of Divine Life, Jesus assumes the responsibility of our caretaker. -- E.W. Has that Name lost any of its authority? The Church has never used it. You hear them pray to Jesus and for Jesus' sake, but we hear almost no one pray intelligently to the Father in this Name. My heart never recognized the secret of Faith until I saw this truth: that the Word must prevail over my mind. When the Word became as real to me as the word of a friend or a banker, then Faith ceased to be a problem. I no longer thought of Faith or the need of it. One should never trust the great issues of his life to another's faith. He should have faith of his own, faith that can meet any crisis that may come. Your case is vital to you. It may not be vital to this other party to whose faith you look. He may have troubles that are unsolved, inward struggles that have never been settled. Acting on the Word 1/23 Monday Meditation

Mark 16:18, "They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover." This means nothing until we act on it. "in My Name they shall cast out demons." This scripture means nothing until we act on it. John 15:16, "That whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in My Name He will do it." This scripture is useless, dead, until we act on it. It is acting on the Word that builds faith in the believer. You may have all the promises; you may have the mighty Spirit dwelling in you; but if you do not act on the Word, God is impotent in you. Acting on the Word makes Jesus vitally real to the believer. I am beginning a series of quotes from Advanced Bible Studies by E.W. Kenyon. These quotes will be reruns from 2015 and 2019. Colossians 3:10, "And have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of Him that created him." The mind is renewed by studying the Word and by acting upon it. One may study the Word for years, but if he does not act it, live it, is not a doer, the mind is not renewed... Many Bible students are deceiving themeselves because they are not acting, living, doing the Word.

The Secret of Faith 1/18 Wednesday Wisdom

We are back from a trip to Florida and Alabama where we attended a baby shower for our first great-grandchild, expected to be born in February. The following is the summary of the entire book, In His Presence, by E.W. Kenyon. I will be continuing with another book by Kenyon. Get so that your spirit is sensitive to His desires. If you live with a loved one, and it is a love union and a love walk, you are very sensitive to the things that the loved one enjoys and desires. Now you begin to live with the Father and the Master until after awhile you will say as Jesus did, "I know my Father." . . . "I am walking in the light of the life of God in my spirit. "I am visiting with the Father almost continuously." This is the secret of faith.

Walking in Love 1/12 Thursday Thoughts

This will be my last post until Tuesday or Wednesday. It makes no difference how many promises you plead, if you are not walking in love, your prayer life will be a failure. Many people have come to me for prayer when they were sick and I have prayed for them and obtained no results. When I asked them why my prayers were not answered, they confessed that they had bitterness in their heart toward someone. The moment that bitterness was taken away, there were perfectly well. The 23rd verse [1 John 3:23] is worthy of much meditation. This is the commandment, "That we should believe in the name of His Son, Jesus Christ and love one another." -- E.W. Kenyon.

We have never taken the Word seriously. We have never acted as though it were true. If someone wrote you a letter and told you that he had deposited $5000 to your account in the bank to take care of your bills, and if you knew that he was financially able to do it, you would not hesitate a moment. You could hardly wait to get to the bank. You would hand the letter to the cashier with confidence... Is the Word of your Father, the Word of the Master, to be depended upon as the word of a friend? What a background is this for faith! What a prayer life can grow out of truth like this! You can see what He is to us and what we are to Him. Prayer Privilege 1/3 Tuesday Truth

This begins my 18th year of daily (M-F) posts. It started with a small group of friends whom I invited to receive emails. That email group still continues. I also post my quotes on a blogsite, on my Facebook page, in three Facebook groups, and in two Gab.com groups. The posts have an international readership. Thank you for your interest, as this is currently my primary ministry. Prayer is fellowship with the Fathre and with Jesus, a cultivation of a habit of communion. Preparation of the Heart 1/2 Monday Meditation

A prayer life doesn't mean hours spent in actual prayer, but hours of study and meditation in the Word until the life becomes literally absorbed in the Word and the Word becomes a very part of us. One could spend hours in prayer fruitlessly if the heart is not prepared beforehand. The preparation of the heart comes from meditation in the Word, meditation on what we are in Christ, what He is to us, and what the Holy Spirit can mean to a life that becomes God-inside-minded. -- E.W.
