When Jesus Arose 5/1 Wednesday Wisdom

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: When Jesus Arose 5/1 Wednesday Wisdom When Jesus arose from the dead, He arose, not only because He had put sin away, but also because He had, as a substitute, conquered Satan. It was as though we, individually, had been the conquerors, just as though we had been there in that dark region and conquered Satan, stripped him of his authority and risen from the dead. Then Christ rose from the dead and Redemption became a settled fact, a closed issue. -- E.W. Kenyon I will not be posting from Friday, May 2, until Monday, May 13.

God Inside of Me 4/30 Tuesday Truth

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: God Inside of Me 4/30 Tuesday Truth Israel could conquer all the armies that came against them, for God was with them. How much more can God do through us when we are conscious of His indwelling Presence. When things press hard, we whisper softly, "He is inside of me, and the God inside of me is mightier than all the forces that can come against me." So we rest quietly. -- E.W. Kenyon I will not be posting from Friday, May 3, until Monday, May 13.

Trusting Today and Doubting Tomorrow 4/29 Monday Meditation

I will not be posting from Friday, May 3 until Monday, May 13. Satan has tried to keep you in bondage. One thing after another has happened that has kept your pocketbook drained... If you have fearless confidence in Him, He will see that blessings shower in upon you. But if you are vacillating and trust Him today and doubt Him tomorrow, you will find yourself walking alone. --E. W. Kenyon

God Wants Firebrands 4/26 Friday Faith

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: God Wants Firebrands 4/26 Friday Faith It is a poor people who cannot praise the Lord. Suppression of praise never disturbs the devil. God wants firebrands -- lives aflame by the power of God. -- Smith Wigglesworth.

Able to Meet Every Obligation 4/25 Thursday Thoughts

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Able to Meet Every Obligation 4/25 Thursday Thoughts Psalm 46:1 is yours: "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." He is able to meet every financial obligation when you trust Him utterly. But, it will be necessary for you to go into business with Him, for you to be partners. Malachi 3:10, 11 should become a part of your daily consciousness: "Bring ye the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and prove Me now herewith, saith Jehovah of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." --E.W. You Have His Ability 4/24 Wednesday Wisdom

He wants us to know that we have His ability, that II Corinthians 3:4,5 is ours, written especially for us. "And such confidence have we through Christ to Godward; not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God." You have His ability in life's fight ... have it in the office, in the store, in the schoolroom, in the home. The mechanic has His wisdom at the bench. The judge and the lawyer both have access to His ability. There isn't a walk in life in which the believer finds himself, but what God's ability belongs to him, and that his Father is not watching over him, meeting his every need in every crisis. --E. W. Kenyon

Taking Our Place and Responsibility 4/23 Tuesday Truth

"If any man loves me he will keep my Word." That means that we are taking our place as sons. We will take the responsibility of sons. We will bear the burden of it, and will enjoy the privileges of it. If we do that, then He will assume His place as a Father and will make His home with us, take care of us and enable us to meet our obligations, enable us to walk in love and wisdom, and to walk in the fullness of His fellowship. --E. W. Kenyon

Our Actual Father 4/22 Monday Meditation

And not only are we sons, but we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ. God is our actual Father. John 16:27, "For the Father Himself loveth you, because ye have loved me." If we are His children and if He is our Father, then he is responsible for us. If we take our place as sons, He is bound to take His place as a Father. --E. W. Kenyon

Jesus Our Substitute 4/19 Friday Faith

Jesus was the first person ever born again. He was born twice. He was born of the virgin Mary; then on the cross He was made sin with our sin, as our Substitute. Then after He had satisfied the claims of justice, He was justified in spirit, made righteous in spirit, and made alive in spirit. This was the new birth. That is the reason that you have in Acts 13:33: "Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee," speaking of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. This scripture wonderfully helped me to understand the substitutionary work of Jesus. He had actually become sin, was forsaken of God, a curse because He had hung upon the tree. After meeting every demand of justice, He was born again out of death, recreated and becomes a partaker of Eternal Life. -- E.W. Kenyon

We Are in the Family 4/18 Thursday Thoughts

We are in His kingdom. Colossians 1:13, "Who delivered us out of the authority of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love." We have found His Righteousness. II Corinthians 5:21, "Him Who knew no sin He made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the Righteousness of God in Him." Then we are in the family. (Romans 8:14-16.) And in I John 3:1, we read, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God: Beloved, now are we the children of God." -- E. W. Kenyon

Our Caretaker 4/17 Wednesday Wisdom

So with the heart man believes that Jesus is His Righteousness, and then he make a confession of his salvation, of the Lordship of Jesus over his life. "Lordship" really means "the bread provider," the one who sustains, protects, and cares for us". So in the very beginning of the Divine Life, Jesus assumes the responsibility of our caretaker. --E.W. Kenyon

Who We Are in Christ 4/16 Tuesday Truth

The Scripture describes the Adversary, tells us much about him. But it tells us more of what we are in Christ; and as we come to know our place in Christ, our rights and privileges, we become very conscious of any division in our walk. We know the moment we step out of love, we step into No-Man's-Land where the Adversary gains ascendancy. --E. W. Kenyon

He Is With You 4/15 Monday Meditation

Matthew 28:20, "Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world." He is with you in the living Word. He is with you in the presence of the mighty Spirit that lives in us. He hasn't left us alone, and He will not leave us alone. His ability is our ability; His strength is our strength. --E.W. Kenyon

Doer of the Word 4/12 Friday Faith

You are a doer of the Word. The Word is living in your lips. It is just as though the Master spoke it Himself. That man gets what he prays for. We do the things that are pleasing to Him. In other words, we are taking Jesus' place. We are Father-pleasers just as Jesus was. (John 8:29) It is a doer of the Word that receives things from God. Idle words may entertain men, but they do not reach God. --E.W. Kenyon

Our Privilege in Christ 4/11 Thursday Thoughts

"God has privileged us in Christ Jesus to live above the ordinary human plane of life. Those who want to be ordinary and live on a lower plane can do so; but as for me, I will not." --Smith Wigglesworth

You Can Trust Him 4/10 Wednesday Wisdom

In the past I have quoted from the sermons of one preacher for about a year. Last week I concluded my quotes from the complete sermons of John G. Lake. From now on I am going to "mix up" the preachers. I am going to use Facebook Memories to rerun quotes from the same date four to fourteen years ago. From five years ago: You see, you can trust Him. You bank on Him. Your expectations are from Him. You do not turn to the beggarly help of Sense Knowledge [believing only what you can see]. We do the Word, we live the Word, we act the Word, we trust implicitly in the Word, and we know that God and His throne are back of every word. That gives us a quiet, restful confidence, --E.W. That Degree of Unselfishness 4/5 Friday Faith

This concludes the quotes from John G. Lake. I will not be posting for Monday or Tuesday. The greatest manifestation of the Holy Ghost-baptized life ever given to the world was not in the preaching of the apostles; it was not in the wonderful manifestation of God that took place at their hands. It was in the unselfishness manifested by the Church. Think of it! Three thousand Holy Ghost-baptized Christians in Jerusalem from the Day of Pentecost onward, who love their neighbor's children as much as their own, who were so anxious for fear their brethren did not have enough to eat that they sold their estates and brought the money and laid it at the apostles' feet. They said, "Distribute it, carry the glow and the fire and the wonder of this divine salvation to the whole world." (See Acts 2:44-45). That showed what God has wrought in their hearts. Oh, I wish we could arrive at that place, where this church was baptized in that degree of unselfishness. --John G. Lake

Treasury of the Heart of God 4/4 Thursday Thoughts

I will be concluding John G. Lake quotes on Friday. I will not be posting for Monday or Tuesday. Jesus went to heaven in order that the very treasury of the heart of the eternal God might be unlocked for your benefit and that out of the very soul of the eternal God, the streams of His life and nature would possess you from the crown of your head to the sole of your feet and that there would be just as much of the eternal God in your toenails and in your brain as each are capable of containing... Man is made alive by God and with God by the Spirit. And in the truest sense, man is the dwelling place of God, the house of God, the tabernacle of the Most High. --John G. Lake

Two Pieces of Wood 3/3 Wednesday Wisdom

The cross was two pieces of dead wood; and a helpless, unresisting Man was nailed to it; yet it was mightier than the world, and triumphed, and will ever triumph over it. -- Augustus Wm. Hare

Purging Power 4/2 Tuesday Truth

Isn't it marvelous, beautiful, wonderful to realize that mankind can receive into their nature and being the power and spirit of the living Christ, which contains the purging power to drive forth from the being every particle of evil, every sensuous thing in the thought and nature so that the man becomes what Jesus was. That is what the blood of Jesus Christ is calculated to do. That is what the spirit of Christ is purposed to do in the soul of a man -- the cleansing of a nature from the power and dominion of sin. -- John G. Lake.
