His Tender Compassion 10/29 Tuesday Truth

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: His Tender Compassion 10/29 Tuesday Truth Many things may happen in our lives to show us how depraved we are by nature, but when the veil is lifted we see how merciful and tender God is. His tender compassion is over us all the time. --Smith Wigglesworth

When We Measure God 10/28 Monday Meditation

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: When We Measure God 10/28 Monday Meditation Another preacher said, "It was an easy thing for Jesus to feed the people with five loaves. The loaves were so big in those days that it was a simple matter to cut them into a thousand pieces each." But he forgot that one little boy brought those five loaves all the way in his lunch basket. There is nothing impossible with God. All the impossibility is with us when we measure God by the limitations of our unbelief. -- Smith Wigglesworth

Doing the Word 10/25 Friday Faith

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Doing the Word 10/25 Friday Faith Committing the Word to memory does not do it; learning the history of the books of the Bible does not do it; learning the Hebrew and the Greek words will not do it. Only one thing will do: my doing the Word, practicing it, living it in my daily life, trusting in it, acting on it. -- E. W. Kenyon

Build Up Your Wisdom 10/24 Thursday Thoughts

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Build Up Your Wisdom 10/24 Thursday Thoughts Just as we have exercised ourselves physically to build up muscle, as we have exercised mentally to build up memory and store our minds with facts and data, so we now should build up our Love life, build up our wisdom life, build up our creative energy. How? By feeding on the Word of God. The Word is God's wisdom, God's ability, God's very Life. As I feed on it, it cultivates, strengthens, and builds up my spirit. It builds faith into me. It builds God's ability into me. It builds into me every attractive thing that you saw in Jesus' life. -- E. W. Kenyon

Scriptural Prayers for Israel 10/18 Friday Faith

O Lord God of Israel, You who keep Israel neither slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121) You promised that You would bring Israel out of all the nations where you had scattered them and that they would dwell safely in their own land, never to be uprooted again. (Jeremiah 32:41) (Amos 9:15) You said that the nation of Israel would never cease as a nation from before You as long as the ordinances in the sky remain.(Jeremiah 30:36) Remember your covenant with Israel. Arise, O God, and let your enemies be scattered. Let them flee from before You seven ways.(Psalm 68:1) But let all who bless Israel be blessed. (Genesis 12:3) Help those who stand in the gap to give You no rest until we see Your salvation together. (Isaiah 62:7) We pray for Israel's armies to be strong and courageous. (Joshua 1:9) Let their hearts be not afraid. For You, the Lord our God, are the one who fights for Israel against her enemies in order to save Israel. (Deuteronomy 20:4) We pray that no weapon formed against Israel will prosper and that every tongue that rises against Israel be condemned. (Isaiah 54:17) We pray for freedom for those in captivity and comfort for all who mourn in Zion. (Isaiah 61) Save Your people, Lord, that the nations might know there is a God in Israel. In Jesus Name, Amen

Sukkot -- The Feast of Tabernacles 10/17 Thursday Thoughts

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Sukkot -- The Feast of Tabernacles 10/17 Thursday Thoughts Sukkot, or The Feast of Tabernacles, began at sundown Wednesday evening, Oct. 16, 2024, and continues for seven days. It is the seventh and final festival, in the seventh month, lasts seven days, and required 70 sacrifices. This festival commemorates the 40 years that the Hebrew people wandered in the wilderness and lived in booths (tabernacles), or flimsy temporary dwellings. During this festival Jewish families each build and decorate a sukkah outdoors and spend a lot of time in it. It is a joyful festival, and it is the only festival in which God commanded joy. For Christian believers today, it represents our earthly temporary home and the joyful anticipation of the spiritual rest in the heavenly Kingdom. It was during this festival (John 7:37), during the elaborate water-pouring ceremony, that Jesus announced that He is the Living Water (John 7:37-39) It was at this festival, with its nighttime illumination ceremony, that Jesus said that He is the Light of the World (John 8:12; 9:5) For those who study the Scriptures in the light of the Hebrew culture, there are several clues that Jesus may have been born during Sukkot. The Pilgrim fathers probably patterned the first Thanksgiving in part after the Feast of Tabernacles. Hag Shemach (Happy Holiday)!

These Things Are Possible for Me 10/16 Wednesday Wisdom

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: These Things Are Possible for Me 10/16 Wednesday Wisdom I am glad that Jesus was a Man. I am glad that Daniel was a man, and I am also glad that John was a man. You ask, "Why?" Because I see that whatever God has done for other men, He can do for me. And I find God has done such wonderful things for other men that I am always on the expectation that these things are possible for me. -- Smith Wigglesworth

Do Not Be Satisfied 10/15 Tuesday Truth

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Do Not Be Satisfied 10/15 Tuesday Truth Beloved, do not be satisfied with anything less than the knowledge of a real change in your nature, a knowledge of the indwelling presence and power of the Holy Ghost. Do not be satisfied with a life that is not wholly swallowed up in God. -- Smith Wigglesworth

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Yom Kippur 10/11 BONUS Friday Faith YOM KIPPUR: As you know, I like to educate Christians on their Hebrew roots. Yom Kippur begins at sunset Friday, October 11 and concludes at sunset on Saturday. It is God's appointed day for atonement of sins. Jesus would have observed Yom Kippur, and He is the fulfillment of it. The high priest made animal sacrifices, and the scapegoat was sent into the wilderness to take away the sins of the people. from Wikipedia: "According to Jewish tradition, God inscribes each person's fate for the coming year into a book, the Book of Life, on Rosh Hashanah, and waits until Yom Kippur to "seal" the verdict. During the Days of Awe [between the two holy days] a Jewish person tries to amend his or her behavior and seek forgiveness for wrongs done against God and against other human beings. The evening and day of Yom Kippur are set aside for public and private petitions and confessions of guilt. At the end of Yom Kippur, one hopes that they have been forgiven by God." Jesus is the fulfillment of Yom Kippur. By His blood sacrifice He has taken away our sins once and for all so that sacrifices are no longer needed. No longer do we need to "hope" that our sins have been forgiven. For Christians, Yom Kippur can be a day of repentance and also of thankfulness for the atonement that Jesus made for our sins.

His Ability to Work Within Us 10/10 Thursday Thoughts

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: His Ability at Work Within Us 10/10 Thursday Thoughts Then He took His own blood and carried it into the heavenly Holy of Holies and sealed our Redemption. Having accomplished this, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. Ephesians 2:5,6 says that we are seated together with Him. He is the Head of the Body. We are the members. John 15:5 tells us that He is the Vine and we are the branches. Philippians 3:10 is Paul's marvelous prayer: "That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection." For it is that ability that was manifest in His resurrection. It is that ability that is at work within us. --E. W. Kenyon

Where Is the Life? 10/9 Wednesday Wisdom

It's been only a year since I first posted this quote. Usually I wait 4-5 years to repost. But I think this one is profound, considering it was written about 110 years ago. LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Where Is the Life? 10/9 Wednesday Wisdom Most meetings can only be kept alive now by continuous entertainment, professional evangelism, and a strong social spirit. And this is all too true in [evangelical] circles as well as in the older denominations. Where is the Life itself to draw the people and bring God to them as in the beginning? This is not New Testament. It is abnormal, grieving and limiting the Holy One of Israel in our midst. -- Frank Bartleman

Stopping on the Threshold 10/8 Tuesday Truth

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Stopping on the Threshold 10/8 Tuesday Truth Something ought to happen all the time so that people will say, "We never saw it like that." If there is anything that God is dissatisfied with, it is stationary conditions. So many people stop on the threshold, when God, in His great plan, is inviting them into His treasury. Oh, this treasury of the Most High, the unsearchable riches of Christ, this divine position which God wants to move us into so that we are altogether a new creation. -- Smith Wigglesworth

Amen. -- Smith Wigglesworth

Joy Is a Fruit of Faith 10/4 Friday Faith

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Joy is a Fruit of Faith 10/4 Friday Faith Joy is something that only believers have. The world may have happiness. They find that in their surroundings, their environment. But joy is a fruit of faith. It is a fruit that comes from the recreated spirit. -- E. W. Kenyon

Feast of Trumpets / Rosh Hashanah 10/3 Thursday Thoughts

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Feast of Trumpets / Rosh Hashanah 10/3 Thursday Thoughts Feast of Trumpets / Yom Teruah / Rosh Hashanah / Jewish New Year. Perhaps you have seen this holiday printed on a calendar and didn't have any idea of its significance. This biblically-mandated holy day begins at sundown on Tishri 1, 5785 (October 2, 2024). God spoke in Leviticus 23:23 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation. 25 You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.’ ” This is the only one of the seven biblical festivals for which no reason is given. The true reason for this festival becomes apparent only in the New Testament when we learn of the blowing of "the last trumpet" when Jesus returns. What is the significance for Christians? What coming event does it foreshadow? The Torah commands the Jewish people to blow the shofar on this day as a memorial, but it does not indicate what the blowing of the shofar symbolizes. The annual blast of the shofar during the Feast of Trumpets foreshadows that day when the heavens will be rent by the blast of Messiah's trumpet. For disciples of the Messiah, Rosh Hashanah is a reminder of that appointed time yet to come when the Master "will send forth His angels with a great trumpet and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other" (Matthew 24:31). It is a day on which we anticipate the coming judgment, the trumpets of the book of Revelation, and the beginning of the end. It is a glimpse of the future, a shadow cast through time. As such, the Feast of Trumpets is relevant for everyone who believes in Messiah's return. It is an important festival for the disciples of Yeshua. (from First Fruits of Zion / ffoz.com)

Our God Is an Active God 10/2 Wednesday Wisdom

LEP'S FAITH QUOTES: Our God Is an Active God 10/2 Wednesday Wisdom Our God is an active God. His thunder is just as loud today as it was in the first century. His lightning is just as vivid as it was in the days of the early church. The sound of the mighty rushing wind is just the same today as it was on the day of the Pentecost. Pray for the violent blasts of wind from heaven, expect them, and you will get them. And do not be afraid of them. -- Smith Wigglesworth
