Acting, Living, Doing the Word 2/4 Wednesday Wisdom

I am beginning a new series of quotes from a new book that I have started to read, Advanced Bible Course, by E.W. Kenyon.  This is a good opportunity for a refresher on E.W. Kenyon (1867-1948).  He was a Free Will Baptist preacher who founded what is now Gordon College and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, one of the leading evangelical seminaries.  He is considered to be the forefather of the Word of Faith movement and the originator of "positive confession" theology.  Kenyon was a close friend of A.W. Simpson, founder of The Christian and Missionary Alliance, and they often traded pulpits.

Colossians 3:10, "And have put on the new man, that is being renewed unto knowledge after the image of Him that created him.
The mind is renewed by studying the Word and by acting upon it.  One may study the Word for years, but if he does not act it, live it, is not a doer, the mind is not renewed.   James gives us the secret in James 1:22, "Be ye doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves."
Many Bible student are deceiving themselves because they are not acting, living, doing the Word.
